I hope someone can help me.

My latest iMac i7 has problem in reading my Kingston 133x CF card via a unknown brand mulTi card reader. My MacBook air has has no problem at all reading the card in a similar setup.

What seems to be a problem?

Happy new year to all.

Same problem here with an iogear reader. Was going to call Apple when I had time.

My iMac i7 did same thing with an off brand reader. Both of my san disk readers work flawlessly.

Seems that it is quite a common problem. Anyone know the reason/cause? Before I get a branded reader, I would like to be sure that it works.

Thanks.

No one has the answer?

My generic CF reader works fine an all PCs but not on my new iMac running Lion...?

I heard it might have to do with insufficient power supply to the peripheral (data transfer is fine, but power supply is limited). Can anyone confirm this?

Mine is an iogear and I've never been able to get it working.
