I took a couple of shots of my friends skiing:

Any comments?
It was so cold (-15 c), that the zoom got frozen.

I really like the bottom set! The first shot appears to be done at too slow of a shutter speed (you didn't miss by too much.). Also, did you set your EC +2 or so for the snow? In the first show it appears grey, but it could just be a general underexposure.

Do you have the photos w/ EXIF embedded, or can you post the EXIF data?

Looks like a fun time though! Out of curiosity, were you on skiis as well?

Ah, I found the EXIF on flickr for the first one.. Were you panning with the skiier? Next time try it at ISO 800 and see if you can squeeze a bit faster shutter speed, or work at increasing DOF with a smaller aperture. It's just not as sharp as I think it could've been.

I do like the shot though, you really captured the enjoyment of it! :)

Here is the exif for the pictures In the collection:
1.
F2.8
1/1250
ISO 400
EV +1/3

2.
F2.8
1/1000
ISO 400
EV +1/3

3.
F2.8
1/1000
ISO 400
EV +1/3

I tried to overexpose a little bit because of the snow. It was a little bit late that day, so it was starting to get a little bit dark. Actually the clock was only 1500, but the sun goes down ca. 1530.
