Wow that is a lot of birds. Love that you caught at least one crane in flight fairly close to you. What software did you use to create the on line viewing?


Canon 7D, 5DmkIII and a lens or two for each.

Yea, they count them each day and that day when i shot this panorama there were 15000 birds in the lake. That is alot and they make tons of noise too! :)

I used Autopano Giga to stitch this together and then Panotour to create the Flashfile for online viewing. A smooth seamless operation for this type of work. The fullresolution version is 57587x4902 pixels so it's quite massive. It still uses only 10 fullsized 7D shots.

Judging by the pix I think that maybe they were underexposed in post to achieve a desired effect. I personally like the exposure level on them. :)

Editing them fast(500+ pictures and video and 30 minutes to edit = no good) a few i really like that i left up, meant to redo them once i had some time on my hands...

Now i have to go back in and redo them lol
