Incense stick for the smoke. Reflector to the left of the camera. Flash with wireless trigger to the right of the camera. Black backdrop (approx 3 ft from incense stick). Kinda hard to explain but I found a few youtube videos which is how I learned to do this. After a few hours this is just a sample of the results I was able to achieve.

A quick edit in photoshop. Desaturate, invert, add layer, add gradient, flatten layers and save I ordered some gels for my flash which should be here this week. Hope to get some interesting effects without the need for photoshop.

new glasses. I hope the noise you are seeing isnt from the walls of the building as that is their texture
