Nice shots Kevin, Marco and Michael.

Kevin - what location was this? I went to Don Edwards and Coyote Hills Parks near Fremont, CA over the weekend, but could not spot any big birds like those. How did you manage to get that close?
The dragonfly ones are amazing, I tried those too but just could not get one in frame and focus together. Any special technique you employ for those twitchy little things?

A few from the weekend shoot:

also enjoyed the look of the flamingos and some nice landscapes in here as well.

Thanks. :)

That chimp was funny (to me). He seemed rather pissed off at something. Was a tough angle to get a shot of him the way he was.

Thanks G-G. :) 99% of the credit goes to the bird. All I did was push the button and then did some PP.

I'm guessing you might be in the Southern States of Australia judging by the flowers in season. Is that first pic at Teselaars in Silvan by any chance? I've always wanted to go there in the Spring.

Indeed you are right, to be honest the tulip festival was a big let down! Not many quality flowers, they were all dry, so many people! That photo was taken early in the morning before the crowds turned up and there is already too many people there! And expensive for what it is IMO, but the national rhododendron gardens up the road in Olinda were magnificant! And free.
