A few things I have noticed in comparison to the Tokina 11-16: The Canon: - has a more usable range (obviously) - the colour on the Canon is a bit better - distortion is better on the Canon - a little less chromatic abberation aka fringing On the negative side, it does not appear to be as sharp. I will do some more intense side by side comparisons at some point before I decide which is to stay and which is to go but so far it looks like the Canon is the keeper for me as it's a bit more versatile.
