Hi all,

I`ve just returned from my local Jessops with a bargain(I think). They had the battery grip for Canon 50d on offer for £70 fro 150.I`ve asked the shop assistant to check the stock see it there`s any available. An order was placed to their warehouse (should arrive in the next few days)but the biggest surprise was when I actually tried to pay and it only cost me £49(do not ask why..I did and they could not answer). So anyone looking for Canon battery grip for 30/40 or 50d please check your local store.

good luck.

Would it work for the 10D/20D or is that a different grip?

The 50D takes the same grip as the 20D, 30D and 40D, the model is BG-E2N.
If you look up which grip fits the 20D or 30D it'll probably say BG-E2 without the N, that is the older version without the weather resistance on the battery door but the two are interchangeable.

The 10D shares a different grip with the D30 and D60.
