Hey Guys.

My mothers birthday tomorrow (yes i know, bit late) and Ive just realised what I can give her!

My brother departs early friday morning - hes moving to the UK. Mum has no photos of me or my brother apart from ones we had done we we were about 10!

So, im looking for someone living in Auckland who could take a couple of photos of me and my brother. I can only afford to pay you in beer, and perhaps petrol if your driving! I dont mind if you shoot my camera, your camera, perhaps its easiest if you just shoot onto my CF cards!

We are going to get it printed and framed at 8x12.

Unfortunatly I left it a bit late - wazza was going to have a go but he's since left the island!

PM me if your interested!

Cheers!

Matt

PM sent, but put me down as a last resort.

FlyingPete is the man you want, unlike me he knows what he's doing :)
I have a windows background to prove it.

So long and thanks for all the flash

What do you think Moppie? group effort?

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

heh thanks for the offers guys. Moppie seems like the sensible answer as hes just down the road IIRC.

Lets put our creative heads together though - what sort of shot do you think would be best?

We are both fairly tall, I think im around 184 and my bro is the sameish. We dont do too much sport, so there's no ovbious 'stand with a rugby ball' pose.

Ideas?

How about a side profile sort of thing - you facing your brother?
mum's are great, they'll love any pictures of their kids.....
Moppie, don't forget to get a model release form signed!

A model release?

oh yesssssss...............

I'll have to bring a ladder to by the sound of it.

How about bucklands beach with the sun setting behind both of you? The 300D has a pretty good onboard flash for fill I assume?

So long and thanks for all the flash

that sounds nice. i've also got an old 244t speedlight that is twice as grunty as the popup flash - but you need to shoot in manual and work out proper exposures.

Im sure you can too!

looks like my brother is running a bit late, says he can get here by 4.15. Im charging all my batterys and emptying CF cards now.

You've got a choice of the 18-55mm/3.5-5.6 kit, or the 90-300/4.5-5.6
