Kyle is a 15 days young newborn baby boy. I hope you enjoy and C&C are always welcome.

4 and 7 are the best, IMHO. :-) The reason #1 doesn't work for me is it's not quite the right angle to convey "vulnerability" and the baby looks lonely and cold (look at his blue tinged hands and feet).

Hi Erika, thanks for your valuable input. I completely understand what you are saying about the first picture, as another person also commented very similarly. I appreciate you taking time to share your honest opinion and will definitely look out for that next time. :)

I'm no pro but have taken lots of shots of my grand kids and family. For me I Love 4 & 7. 3 is very cute and nice color tone. But, I just love the B & W and the hand held shot always gets me. Beautiful work.

Okay no pro here, but just my opinions based on what I like and what I have seen.
I really, really like # 5 and 7.
I would like the others if they were more on the baby's level rather than looking up from above. Also, in #1, I don't like the gold things. Same for #2, I think the gold thing competes with the rings and takes away from the photo.
And for #6, baby looks unhappy and watermelons are suppose to bring smiles! Also, the pamper diaper takes away from the photo. Diaper covers are so much cuter.
Did I mention I really, really like # 5 and 7!

Hey no problem, I'm no expert in photography but I rock with babies. :-) Another thing to watch out for is the conspicuous placement of props to cover private parts. If a blanket is haphazardly thrown over them, it can look a bit phoney or too staged. The trick is to make it look casual or from the angle of the shot, to make the shot look comfortable for the infant, and comfortable for the viewer of the shot. HTH! And keep up the good work.
