Nice one Justin... lighting looks good. Re. exposure - handheld lightmeter is your friend : )

Might have to be my next investment. Any suggestions?

Thanks Rai. It appears this one comes highly recommended around the forums etc. Should be in my price range too.

Somersby waterfalls on the central coast.

Natural light only, not expecting to shoot.

did a bit of the normal stuff, then we saw this creek and I asked her to pretend to be an animal drinking, expecting an Avatar style edit. :)

It's my girlfriend by the way. :P

This user thanks Smorter for that useful post - haha

...I've found ausphotography to be overmanaged as a forum - just don't disagree with the forum owner on any topic though and you'll be fine though, unless you enjoy being criticised or banned in very well publicised means...

How very true

smorter wrote in post #11675149 (external link)
It used to be quite large if I recall, but members just got banned one by one...

Yep, I'm in that boat.
They supposedly want it to be a "safe" place to be. Whatever that means.
It's more like the mutual admiration society and is so sickly sweet.

Also, the site owner reads the PM's - part of the reason I came to be banned. The owner took offence to something I'd put in a PM while me and another member were having a private coneversation.

That's wrong on so many levels.

@ daniel - freaky. PS. would like to see a shot of the huntsman on your head too per Justin's request.

@Phil - haha classic. All your passwords are belong to us too I bet

Long story but I have 1D3's now (though one is in with Canon to have an exposure issue looked at). Anyway just putting the 1D3 through its paces - with my favourite model of course...

Cheers mate,

yeah I do all my own PS work.

I didn't actually look at any avatar pics to see what they did, just did this from memory, I think they had the eyes normal or something, I might go over it.
