They are fenced in a very large wildlife preserve, so I guess they are still "wild" in the sense that they aren't in a zoo. They do like to run away when I try to get up close... It's kind of wooded, kind of dry and open, kind of weedy, just the sort of place that would make a bull elk start to "feel his oats."
