Hey guys, just want to know if I'm going the right way with my PP. I just cleaned up her eyes and forehead. Does it look over done?
I've been staring at this image too long, I need some fresh eyes.

Good work! There are always small things that one can nitpick over but if you are happy with the result, it's a keeper!

Equipment list - According to the wife - "how many more lenses do you need? Yet another camera?" ???

I think that a little bit more smoothing is needed. Please don't take that as a negative remark about your wife. She's a lovely lady. I ran a healing brush tool over her face a bit more and dodged/burned her eyes a bit. Hope you don't mind. This was about a 2 minute edit.

Cheers guys, I'm still a newb when it comes to portrait PP, I know how to dodge and burn the eyes, but I guess I just need to practice some more.
I am happy with the result. I guess I just needed to hear if I was on the right track.
Cheers
Blair

I think you did a very nice job on her forehead and eyes. Looks very natural. Nothing jumps out and screams retouch which is a good sign.

Agreed. I don't want my re-post to make it sound like he did a bad job. He didn't.

Thanks guys. I just printed it out. Looks like my monitor is a little out of calibration. Time to save for a spyder.

I say stick the original. Just adjust exposure, color temp, sharpness, etc. When you start smoothing and healing you take away who she is. It turns into a facade. Jmo.
