Just want to share out and seek improvement.

Tripod with a fast moving baby + night is very challenging .

can anyone share with me on how to improve in future?

tripod will not help much with moving subject, you need fast lens with small aperture value, like your 50mm f1.8, use wide open and use fast shutter speed like 1/150 or 1/200. bump up iso if needed for a proper exposer. also use AI Servo mode, instead of one shot mode for tracking moving subject.

I just got myself an tammy 17-50 f2.8 with VC will try out your recommend next week night with my baby and wife to see... thanks
