I got these two (and a lot more!) Saturday morning. This was my first use of a Kenko MC4 2X TC on my 200mm L. The single bird is resized from a 1000x1400 crop of the full frame; the three-bird picture is resized from the full frame. I adjusted the exposure slightly and did one pass with USM in PS. ISO 100, tripod remote & shutter release, f/8 (EXIF reports F4.0, but TC adds 2 full stops). Three-bird 1/250s; single bird 1/400s.

I'm not satisfied with my focus, but I am working on that. I think my diopter adjustment on the eyepiece and my bifocals are part of the problem in my manual focus errors.

Any comments or hints on technique are appreciated.

Dale
