First day of the new year and I'm already shooting at a wedding, sheesh! Some of you may recognize that the dude is conor, who is also in 4060, and my best broham. I would bleed for this couple!

I understand you were going for the "old" or "weathered" look with the dust specks; but to me it really distracts from what is otherwise a good photograph. Or maybe it was all those years I spent working in a photo lab processing images from film and fighting to not have those flecks. Maybe I'm just jaded against that effect on principal. Nice lighting. Very nice.

On the upslope of the photographic learning curve for almost twenty years.

I am not a fan of the dust specks either but in this case they do not detract from the "vintage" feel of the image. Note the old clothing, very nice all around.

i dont like the dust specs either. if your going for old, do more so its 100% noticable "wow thats an aged photo filter" vs. just a few dust specs which make me want to take windex to my monitor, lol.... :)

I can't see the specks on my lousy work monitor so can't comment on that, but I love the lighting and the feel of the first one!

I think you have found a niche, and I dont blame you for that. Although I wouldnt add the specs, I dont think it takes away from it, especially if that is your style and the client hired you for it. If you didnt include it I would consider that a disservice.

werd. They were going for vintage for sure. I never do vintage, if you checked out my flickr I tend to do other things that rely heavily on big strobes

These are some great pictures. I love lighting especially the one with the boy at the piano.
