Seems you missed the focus... The white sky also looks a bit weird.

Yeah, focus is off. That is if the fisherman was the focal point and what this photograph is about to you, looks like it is. You've processed it strangely too.

I get the impression from the title that you wanted a feeling of the fisherman being in his own little world, more space around him in the frame would help convey it I think. Assuming there wasn't something like a busy pier/dock you had to zoom in to keep out of the picture.

Yeah that crossed my mind but with a wider field of view they wouldn't seem as prominent either, so forgot to mention it.
