The first needs the exposure pulled back a bit and a pop of contrast. I'm not sure what the intention of the second shot was.

Thanks Mypix for yor interest.
The second shot aim was simply to give the idea of what you can see normally in a big and cahotic town like NYC. You can suddenly meet a big truck while you walk in Manhattan. Just this, no aesthetic or artistic aims. I cannot do.

Your first shot is nice but its lacking pop. I did a quick edit adding some contrast and a little warmth in LR3. Adding contrast also helps cut through the haze across the river.

I see you're from Italy, which can explain your second image.
