Roufus on the Wing

This one was done with my old 20D and four Speedlites at a John and Barb Gerlach workshop at Bull River Guest Ranch near Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Someday I will hit the magic combination of flash location and power/duration that will put both wings in sharp focus in similar poses. f4 just doesn't quite cut it. Once it gets warm enough to reasonably ask our resident birds to put up with flash I will be trying Better Beamers.
