I'm looking for some feedback on a strange malfunction. I was shooting a wedding the other day with my 4 month old 5D2, 70-200 2.8L II and 580EX flash when an err30 message popped up (at the exact moment the bride walked in the room for the reception no less).
I did the standard try not to panic but holy poop on the fly reset (mem card out, battery out, on off). The camera reset and would shoot 1 or two pics then the err30 message would reappear.
After spending hours with the search button I've pretty well decided that the CPS sounds like a great option for repair. Small side note I had no idea that the Canon Professional Service even existed!
So the weird part is tonight as I was packing the camera up it seems to be working great except when I strap on the 580EX flash. Any thoughts on why that would be? Could it potentially be the flash?
