Smashing 180 on what I presume are public roads and taking photos on your iPhone at the same time to make big-man over the internet? You guys are pretty irresponsible, huh?

LOL if you look where I am from you can probably sort out how it was that I was breaking no laws. Also dont jump to any determination that I took the photo either while driving.

My wife took the photo cause we found it ammusing that it took the fiesta a very nice downgrade to hit 170kmh while still getting passed on the left.

She also took the photo of the Golf as the GPS tags the photo on the phone and I was trying to see how accurate the speedo was on the wintertires that I had on the car. We took another photo about 1 hour later and were able to use the GPS coordinates to see how close the speedo was based on distance traveled and the time between the two photos since I did not have a hand held GPS.

Your assumptions have lead you to two wrong conclusions.

170 kph on the Autobahn isnt really "smashing", haha. Im surprised the Fiesta didnt blow apart by the wind at that speed.

You are correct saying its not very fast at all here, I would just drive that thing pedal down everywhere I went 140-160KMH depending on headwind, grade and load...That thing was amazingly stable at that speed... I would not have wanted to hit anything there but it was pretty composed! I since sold it and now get around much faster but at the expense about twice or more fuel in my S4.

I believe the VW photo but not the FORD one! I think the speedometer is broken, that's typical for old fords! :D

I hear 160km is "cruising speed" for the autobahn. Lucky! It's no wonder while you're driving a BMW or any German car for that matter over 100mph it feels smooth, you can actually take your hand off the wheel and it'll continue to drive straight, you can relax, have a drink, talk on the phone, etc... Anything american over 100mph and you're hanging on to control the car and you don't want any distractions what so ever.

I do feel pretty cool but not as cool as the guys that go 170 mph and film it. Irresponsibility pays for my M3! You've got some cool photos btw. And I'm glad to see a MINI in there! :p

I believe Jeremy Clarkson once said that people who drive BMW's shouldn't be given anything with more power than an electric razor!

Go easy on my old Ford, that thing was 1 liter, 5 speeds and 2 doors of pure race inspired engineering..... It was packing 44 kW or maybe 59 horsepower!

I believe he never mention BMWs without also referring to their owners as "cocks". I always thought this was funny. He will say it ten times in a segment reviewing a BMW.

I once owned an E46 M3. And I have to concur somewhat, as the M3 forum member truly were douchebags.
