Hi I have a Canon 5D and can shoot tethered too Lightroom by changing the communication tab in the menu settings from print to PC.

I have not been able to find anything similar in my Mark 3 menu system and have not been able to find how to shoot tethered with my Mark 3.

I am probably missing something pretty simple and wonder if anyone else with a Mark 3 is shooting tethered too Lightoom how they set it up.??

Thanks SteveP

I think you're right that the camera doesn't have the setting. Have you tried just plugging it in and trying to run the Lightroom function? My memory on this may be hazy but I seem to remember testing this with LR very briefly, but only just testing it once because EOS Utilities is a very cool app for tethered shooting with the newer cameras because it enables the various features such as Live View whereas LR is unable to work with features like that -- you can only just activate the shutter.

I tried shooting tethered into LR3 once on my MBP, and didn't have to adjust any setting on my Mk3. Simply plug and play...

I'll try to night again.
I had Lightroom up and plugged in to the camera and got the busy signal on the top LCD. but I di not activate the tehered function in the lightroom menu. I will try that tonight and see if it works.

Cheers for the info.
