ummmm.... where is the Candian post office?

(I might play a few rounds... I'm hoping Harm's gummy bears will make a timely comeback)

I was just throwing the calendar thing out since it was a staple of the SMWYG challenge. Otherwise, for me its not why I entered. I enjoy the challenge of finding of pushing myself photographicaly, and getting pushed by all of your styles and your eye upon the world. I whole heartedly accept any critique from any of you, and I would share my critiques for those of you who would care to listen.

Heck, if I wanted a calendar with snaps of mine, I'd print one up...and I do not plan to. [Then again, i might print up a kitty calendar, becuase my girls are oh so cute...]

Personally, I prefer the 'open' theme of the challenge as it stands, and there are other themed challenges here that one can also participate in. Do not get me wrong, I also like themed challenges (and I participate in them), but I also enjoy having an 'open' themed challenge as well.

Whatever happens, I'll be here...getting both pushed and inspired by all of you.

Thanks.

Refresh my memory, is there a "Not Shot Before..." date limit on LMSYS?

How far back can we reach? All of 2010?

We are back, so lets get this off with a bang guys & gals
...
12. Photos must have been shot on or after Oct 1, 2010. We want this contest to keep pushing us so lets use newer work!

There is only a small window of photo aging this time around.

The usual deadline time is 12 EST on the friday for each week. We will stick to that for now. It hasn't been an issue in the past couple years.

The calendar sounds like a cool thing....but only if I win a month...;)

Any python fan gets a month too....if you don't like it I will taunt you for a second time....

If we go with the calendar, we will have to come up with something. Since we do not have dedicated judges, we will have to come up with someway to pick the monthly winner.

Now...stop watching old men running around the woods in their midevil pajama's and get to shooting!

And, I confess I'm a Python fan. That movie was such a classic and is so quotable. In fact, I probably should get a copy of that and watch it again. :D

some fan you turned out to be. You don't even have a copy!! tsk tsk

Ahhh yeah...the Gummy Bears. I'll have to go to Wegmans and get some more!! I will have to come up with some new ideas on what to do with them, though!

You can all have a calendar, but only if you give me...

A SHRUBBERY!!!

not too big, and not to wide, but with a nice little path down the middle!

Now go (and shoot!)

Quick question. Does anyone actually buy or use calendars any more? I haven't hung a calender since the early 90's when I used them as art pieces on the wall. The Tuscany calendar is still my favorite but never sees daylight.

Yes, I still do. Too much goes on in the month not to make a note about it. If I am not out on site, my wife is with her work. Excellent way to keep a track months ahead when generally chatting, so we don't have to get our phones out etc.

You could let all the judges for that month judge the monthly winning image (can't choose your own) or open it up to the entire community by poll.

I really like that idea.

I like the open concept myself.because I am kind of stranded here on an island.lol.tough to get "Cityscapes, or Street Life where I am.
I like the Nov/Dec off for good behavior as well.its a busy time for everyone..

I actually like this one better than the SYWYG, only because it is decided by those we post up against every day.We know{mostly} each others bent on photos.and for me, it makes me dig deeper to find what it is I need to {pun intended} focus on.

Joe, the comments are also a great idea.we did try to include that on the last one.and its mainly if the entrant really wants to have comments made. Its all so subjective.:D

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.
