Do any of you have a Canon 18-55mm IS (basic kit lens) you'd like to part with? I don't have anything for taking wide angle shots right now, and a basic 18-55 would be just fine for me.
PM me if you like. Thanks.

I like the last one the best Jon. That's a great dad/daughter portrait!!! I would suppose that makes your wife a great dad/daughter photographer! All in the family. Didn't hit any storms there? I thought the East was fleeing the latest something not so nice weather wise.

Jason thanks for sharing the Rok / L comparison. I can see why the Rok has such a highly regarded reputation. I'd be a bit pressed to tell the difference. Actually the tall street light in the background really tells the story.

Looks awesome.... A few questions though....
How many megapixes does it have?
How far does it zoom 6x? 10x?
Does it have IS or VR?
Does it have face detection?
Can it shoot HDRs?
Ok... I'll stop :)

I can't wait ... it's equivalent to a 19mm panoramic and I've been lusting for 1 camera 1 lens to shoot for a while. I went into the 645 and discovered that A) I don't want to deal with the mirror, B) I don't want to deal with a motor winder, C) not fond of 3:4 format, D) I want something small and light, and E) I want more film real-estate for less money and hassle than it takes to shoot the 4x10. Roll film is by far easier than packing film holders. 6 shots to a roll 120 only. Already ordered 15 rolls of Fuji 160S. The camera can be shot handheld though most like I will put it on the smaller tripod for a change. The lens is top of the line Schneider. It cuts like a laser. Time to put some gear up for sale!

I have similar feelings about my Pentax 645N. The shutter and motorized film winder could wake the dead. I don't mind the 4:3. I prefer it over 3:2 but I like 6x6, 6x7 & 4x5 better. I have always been interested in pano cameras but never enough to cough up the $. Right now my main problem is finding time to get out and shoot. I still have a few rolls of velvia 50 still to be developed thatI shot at Niagara Falls. My 1D mk iii is being worked on finally. It was front focusing like crazy.

Absolutely precious. Those photos are surely destined to be family heirlooms. As much as shutterbugs like to shoot this and that, the photos of the family are the ones that will live on. Nice.
