Got this through Flickr. What do you guys think? Legitimate? I googled the company and they're a multinational firm specializing in prosthetics. I presume the interest may be tied to the Paralympics and wonder if there might be a copyright issue I'll have to deal with or if it can make it their problem.

Hello Geno,

I am the Art Director for a medical company. I really like your photo of the Olympic Rings in Coal Harbor. I am interested in discussing licensing the rights to use this image internally as a wall wrap in one of our conference rooms.

Is this something you would consider? And, if so, what kind of price would we be looking at?

I am leaving for a 1-week vacation in Belize at 6am tomorrow morning. So if we are unable to connect before then, let's talk when I get back to the office on Monday, 3/28.

Regards,

They're a walnut stained hardwood. If I had the choice, I would have gone for something harder (builder put them in) as they do dent if you drop something on them. Also, scratches show up quite a bit. I have some stain to mask them but it never matches the finish from the manufacturer. Another bit of advice - don't put HW in the kitchen! We have a great room type of layout that doesn't lend itself well to different floors and it is really beat up in the cooking area (at least I think it is :) )

I really don't know on this one, but I have found a similar thing here
http://forums.dpreview.com …age=34657103&changemode=1 (external link)

Maybe this will help you on how you go forward... I'm sure there are ways and means of you making a sale, you probably just need to talk to the right person/people to confirm it's all legal.... Plus you need to work out whether its finically viable to go through all the channels to make a sale, and I presume the company will want it on the cheap like every company wants :(

Personally I think that if you have taken the picture from a public place then you should not have a problem doing what you want with your pictures, without any comeback.... but thats my view as a Press Photographer

Cheers

Rob

She is too freakin cute......:)

We put laminate in the kitchen, and we were not told to seal it.....and yes, the dishwasher decided to plug up and leak all over,it has to be replaced, it kinda has a little wave effect:rolleyes:

I'm trying to figure out what you hit! Looks like a butt dimple on the hood, but more like a pole in the bumper...? So it was a ped and a sign post all in one? :)

We are doing hardwood in the kitchen/dining, already have tile in the kitchen. Looking at the Brazilian hardwoods which seem pretty dent resistant. Pondering installing it ourselves...we shall see.
