Well, lol, I spent about 15 minutes composing a message with about 40 images, then got an error saying I could only post 8. I don't really understand how limiting 400+ images from a typical wedding down to 8 is going to give anyone any idea of what happened on a wedding day. Sigh.

I just joined and haven't posted any images, so thought I would post a few from some recent weddings.

Polite comments and positive or negative criticism welcome, thanks

From a recent "country wedding" in a small town in TeXas (I live in Dallas):

Sorry, but the only one that works for me is the last one. The first is kind of confusing...what exactly is the focus..the window? The second is a great keepsake but more of a snapshot. The third, it seems the cake is a little out of focus. Again, the fourth is more of a snapshot and the cowboy hat out of focus makes it distracting. Maybe should have been sitting on the bike's seat. I would have cropped the table out. The next two...the rings were a nice idea but could really have been effective if you had taken them in the shade to accentuate the facets of the diamonds more. Very nice job on the last though, crisp and nice touch with the post processing. Just my $.02

The first shot is an "establishing shot" of the day - when we first arrived. It's a country kitchen - remember the title? Country wedding? Lol. It's funny because that was Tony Hoffer's favorite image.

Yeah, again, it's very hard to pick images from a whole day and put up 8. If I'd have been able to post all the ones I was going to, it would have told a story of the whole day. As it stood, I posted what I felt were the "best" ones.

As for the "hat" in the motorcycle shot - it's a foreground element (hence OOF) - the motorcyle is the subject of that photo. They actually asked for lots of shots of that kind of stuff since it was important to them.

In #2, the idea was the juxtaposition of the "tough cowboy" joining in with the kids outside playing with bubbles; again, I couldn't post those because I ran out of images, but kids were playing with bubbles and cute things like that.

I don't get why we can't post more than 8 images that are hosted on a completely different web site (i.e. no load on this server).

Thanks

I find it odd that out of the 8 images you chose to show, you didn't pick a single one from the ceremony, or one with the bride and grooms face showing.

Yea, too bad we're limited to 8. Again, these were what I felt were the "best" shots.

Yes

How do you know Tony? (I only ask because you live in Texas and the Hoffers are from my neck of the woods in PA.)

Is there a link to any of the other photos?

I honestly don't see these as more than snapshots and it doesn't really seem like the typical wedding photos. I know, I know, I know!! You said "country wedding" and I get that, but maybe if we saw some of the others it would all come together??

And my favorite of the set here is the ring shot. It's got potential.
