[Is there any work around for the following? I have a new mac book pro with snow leopard. Which means I downloaded the new Canon driver for Pixma 9500. And am now using Lightroom 3 rather than 2.

An option that used to exist no longer exists. It used to be when I chose a paper profile (say Canon Premium Paper Pro) I could still manage color options in the driver. I could adjust slightly the reds or if it were black and white I could change the tone (warm tone/cool tone).

Now, which I chose a paper profile, those options are "blanked out." I can't use them.

Given how many variables there are with printing and getting the right image, I can't believe Canon would take away this option in their "newer" drivers.

The options exist if I let the printer manage the colors (as opposed to using the profiles) but the image is much farther off to begin with and requires much more experimenting.

I have not reloaded Elements 6 and Canon Easy Print Pro. I wonder if it will let me fiddle with color options?

I'd be grateful for any advice or feedback.

The idea is that the printer drivers color management is switched off if you let software manage the colors. If I read it correct, that is what you are doing when printing from LR3?

That's how it should be. You don't need those options since you can only break stuff there ;)

If your prints don't match the screen when you let LR manage colors, something else is off. "Fiddling" is not the way to go then. (IMHO)

ISTR that there was a driver issue with some printers and SL, but not sure which.

Click Managed by printer and click other, the white box on the left will open, select your paper profile and make sure your colour management in your pinter is turned off, should be good to go to print from LR..;)
