2 looks sharper, but im not a fan of the breakneck angle. in #1, the car seems to blend in with the scenery - it's almost the same color! maybe draw it out a bit in post? keep shooting!

Thanks fellas, yea my brothers car is tough to shoot around the city if i want to leave the rest of the setting in its natural colors... its the anthracite supra, and looks damn good, but really hard to make POP in shots like those.

Both images, when viewed in full res. are actually about the same sharpness, the reason the supra doesnt seem so sharp is b/c of the smoother flowing body with lesser reflections to bring out the body lines like with the bmw.

but thanks for the critique, greatlly appreciate. I know the angles sometimes are too much for people, but the guy wanted something different and interesting, and was really happy with the shoot, so i was happy too :)

i actually did both of those pictures with my crappy rebel xsi and the 18-55is lens.. I just got myself the 17-40L for christmas and havent been able to test it on the cars too much yet, cant wait to get out and od some rolling shots with it. I am also in the process or getting a 5d mkii...just havent decided if i want to trust the rumors and wait on the mkiii or go ahead and make the investment now :)

Have we met haha? I just moved out of Charlotte and know these two cars pretty well. I have always wanted to shoot that Supra. The photos look good by the way.

Im not sure if we have or not. How well do you know the people driving the cars? The supra is my brothers car and the bmw is his really close friend, so if you know them we probably met, lol.

btw, i drive a red one, supra that is :

dont make fun of it, and i no longer use the rope for stabilization :)

home made for about 190 bucks, but it gets the job done, and at about 1/4 of the price of the cheapest thing you can buy online... only thing i really need to do right next is get a proper boom instead of using an old grinding rail my brother used to use :)

I have spoken here and there at shows but don't actually know the owners haha (unless the green car is Schroeder's). I used to have a tc on professors but would come to cars and coffee or other meets with the urbanflth or iso people.

either way, cars look right and i am jealous haha.
