Just wondering how many of you who do bridal shows participate in the door prizes.
I never have. Considering it this time.
Any success stories?

One photographer I shoot with gives out free engagement sessions, but that is one of the many engagement sessions they give out. I dont know how it works for them, but I am expecting we are going to be doing it for the January show too.

they either get the e-session, or equal credit towards their wedding... unless they already went ahead with another photographer, I get them

My friend won an e-session at a Bridal Show. She ended up losing the winning email and never did it (I shot her e-session instead). So I guess it's good exposure to offer something, but you may not even get a client out of it. But on the plus side, you may not have to do the free session, either.

ETA: I wanted to add that I'm going to my first Bridal Show of the season on Sunday.... AS A BRIDE TO BE!!!!! :P

I shot a wedding down in Balboa Park last year. Beautiful spot! The Japanese Gardens make a photog look good.

Thanks! And as of right now I have one. One of the perks of being a photographer is you have a lot of gear and I have a good friend with a ton of talent but no money to invest in gear. And I want her daughter as my flower girl so it's kind of a win win for everyone.
