absolutely amazing! I had previously been using ilford smooth pearl paper and loved their quality but i couldnt stand cutting the paper down to 8x10 size so i decided to give red river paper a chance. I ordered 100 8x10 sheets and 20 11x14 sheets for my new studio due to open some time this week. I just completed two test prints and I was amazed at the quality.
The paper is thinner than ilford, but the look is more appealing to me. The images seem to pop right off the paper. The colors are spot on with the icc profile on the canon 9500 printer. I would get a bit of a reddish tone on the skin with the ilford but with the red river paper the skin tone is much more natural for my images.
The paper is thinner no doubt, but the paper has a bit of a "ice" look to it. I guess the arctic name does fit the bill. The images are spot on with what im seeing on the screen.
I tried 11x14 paper by inkpress and at first I thought it was great but after a few prints and a lot of adjustments, the contrast was still very very very high. I will not be using inkpress ever again.
The red river paper is an amazing product. I think I've been sold by their product and will be using them exclusively for my new studio. I will be purchasing their metallic paper next to offer a variety to my customers.
