I'm awaiting delivery of the above combination but am interested to know what options I have for carry cases (that are available in the UK)

I'm assuming that one of the Manfrotto cases would be okay (if so, please let me know which one I need), but can anyone also recommend any third-party options?

Thanks
Pete

I have the Manfrotto padded tripod bag and it works well. I only use it to store my tripod when I'm at home or while I'm traveling to and from my shoot. I think its too bulky to carry on my back and the price is pretty expensive for a tripod bag.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Where did you buy your tripod from? Did you find a good price?

Ended up ordering from Jessops via QuidCo. They have a voucher code for 15% off tripods and heads, so paid £272 for the combo. Only problem is... out of stock :-(

At Christmas Adorama had a deal where others were selling a GT-3531S for $729, the sold it for $705 with a padded Flashpoint bag. They sell the bags seperately for $35. While I might not pay $35 for the bag as standalone....it was a good item to get in the package for a significantly lower package price.

For a narrow tripod like the Manfrottos, have a look at the Think Tank Bazooka(s). I initially ordered the smallest one but it wasn't wide enough for the spiders of my Feisol and Gitzo tripods so I had to go bigger.

Very nicely designed bag though I haven't been out carrying it for any distance yet. I also have one of the frotto 120 bags for light stands etc. Massive overkill for the cost but whatever :D.

Got mine from Morris Photographic, who are very helpful.

Excellent - thanks. I hadn't realised Think Tank did tripod bags. Will take a look at these once my tripod arrives and I can get exact measurements with the head attached.

If you don't want to pay an excessive amount of money for a tripod case and you don't mind that it's nothing fancy, this is the one I have (I don't know whether you can get it from UK, though):

No matter what you get, though, make sure you measure your tripod with the head on and then give yourself a few more inches to make sure the case's not a tight fit.
