I was absolutely inspired by MikeKS's fundraiser shots titled "Michelle and Sandy" (posted a few days ago on POTN: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=977487) , so went out a local park with my new 24-105L to give it a go with the concept. What y'all do behind the lens is amazing. If you want to see how it should be done, check out MikeKS's shots.
Comments and Critiques appreciated, esp on the technique of getting these shots (camera settings). Thanks,
#1 - My second favorite shot of the day. After a few walk-throughs got the idea to take a photo as GlimmerBabe and GlimmerDog passed through the sliver of light. 24-105L, T1i, Av Mode, 105mm, f4.0, 1/400, ISO 200. Color edited with Canon's software. Composition as-is out of camera.

#3 - 24-105L, T1i, Av Mode, 60mm, f4.0, 1/800, ISO 200. Color edited with Canon's software. Composition as-is out of the camera. Little bit soft, and should have moved myself to the left to get more light on their faces.

#4 - My favorite from the day. 24-105L, T1i, Av Mode, 105mm, f4.0, 1/1000, ISO 200. Color edited with Canon's software. Composition as-is out of the camera.

#5 - 24-105L, T1i, Av Mode, 105mm, f4.0, 1/200, ISO 200. Color edited with Canon's software. Composition cropped. Just curious if this is a good framing, or if looks like a headless model next to my pooch.

#5 - Happy dog! 24-105L, T1i, Av Mode, 105mm, f4.0, 1/160, ISO 200. Color edited with Canon's software. Composition cropped to remove the sky above the trees, then trimmed at the bottom for balance.
