saw these guys just outside Ottawa, Ontario Canada a couple of days ago. They were quite a vocal group of about 60, but too far away for me to get a decent shot. Looks like some kind of black bird to me, any ideas?

Is this 100% crop of the birds? If you could send a close up shot it would go a long way on getting an ID. Also how big are they, crow size, blackbird size, pigeon size?

here's another..I'll see if I can get a better crop tonight
they looked to be about pigeon size, smaller than crows

they look like starlings ,

ok, starlings sounds pretty likely I..I didn't realize they were around all year
