Don't really know how to search for this.

I have an imac and now also a macbook pro.

running CS3 (or5) on the macbook can I have the actual picture i am working on the imac (thus using the imac purely as a monitor)and all the tools etc on the macbook?

I know this can be done with the macbook and an editing monitor.

What's the model/year and size of the iMac? The 21.5" iMac cannot act like a stand along monitor, but the 27" can. Both however do accept secondary monitors like your MBP.

Shame, mine is a IMAC 20/2.4/1GB/320GB/SD-GBR , 3 years old.

So I can have the photo on the MBP but not the other way round?

Maybe just as well as I can't get CS5 to load on the MBP but its ok on the imac.
