Any reason why a brand new 7D from Amazon is $100 less than a new 7D from BH Photo?

Just curious.

Probably because the instant rebates are ending on January 8th. Retailers are under obligation (from Canon USA) to keep their prices above minimum price levels for the duration of the rebate, or they don't receive the refund for the rebate from Canon. Recall prices went UP from $1499 to $1599 when the rebate came out.

Likely Amazon is selling post-rebate 7Ds. I'd expect to see all prices on the 7D go DOWN to $1499 after the rebate ends. Let's see if my prediction holds. :)

Hoping for even less then 1499. Another 100 and I might be able to pull the trigger.

Is is actually Amazon that is selling (fulfilling) it or a private company. That makes a big difference.

Why not just get a refurb through the canon program?

I've looked around and will be pulling the trigger here in like 2 weeks on a refurbed or excellent condition used 7D. If the seller I'm buying the used 7D from says that everything is there that came with the camera initially, including the warrantee card, would it be better to buy the lightly used camera versus the 90 day warrantee refurb through the loyalty program?

Thoughts are appreciated.

Tried it through CLP and received a defective 7d after 1 week. A tad more money for piece of mind now.
