Im just wondering how G6 users like their G6 cameras? What are your plus and minus points for this camera (not comparing to SLRs)? Do you recommend? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Sep 12, 2005 01:26 | #2 Love it. I stepped up from a G2 to a G6. Never really got into the extra things on the G2 but have bought filters and converter lenses for my G6. I don't shoot without my wide angle lately. It's a fixture on the camera along witha UV filter. I'd really like to see a manual focus ring on the lens of whatever replaces the G6, too. Other than that, I love it, and it can shoot amazing pictures.

I absolutely recommend it as long as you aren't mainly interested in low-light or sports/action photography. It can perform in both of those categories, but if either of those was your primary goal, there are better cameras (most likely a DSLR--so we won't go there, as requested 7D, G10, 17-55 f/2.8 IS, 70-200 f/2.8 IS, 100 Macro, 50 f/1.4, 430EX II
