Just headed on to the forums to check threads about this too, haven't really touched my camera or Lightroom for the past year and have only just noticed this in LR3 - all I can say is Wow.
Suddenly an image I shot with the 30mm Siggy close up, of a subject that I new it would distort on, goes from being a throw away to a possible use (sanity note: use the right lens and think what you're doing before hand is the right answer of course) - but it means I can at least compensate for the wide end distortion on the 24-105 as well.
