How do you add a signature to your digital photo?

I did a quick search and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I don't own a business and I photograph purely for fun, and sometimes to earn some extra spending money on the side.

So instead of stamping a business name or something of that nature, I'd like to add a small, yet hopefully classy touch to my photos by adding a signature to them.

Is there a way that I can scan my signature and easily add them into my desired photos using LR3 or CS5?

I do most of my post processing in CS but if there's a way to do it to multiple images in LR, I would probably prefer that.

Thanks!

Lightroom has a Watermark function in both the Export module and the Print module. You have to have a compatible image file with your sig -- I don't recall the details, but Scott Kelby has described them in his book and I believe there are examples in his LightroomKillerTips.com site.

But, if as you say you do most of your PP in CS5 then you might be better off with an action. Check out both options and see what works best for your workflow.

You can get your signature into Photoshop using a scanner or graphics tablet, then convert it to a brush. Adding your signature to an image is then a simple matter of selecting brush size, color, and location, and tapping your mouse button. If you don't want to sign the image itself you can extend the canvas, do a little artwork to create a beveled cut mat effect, and sign the "mat."
