Hey guys, I need a little help since I haven't been looking at bags for a long time.

Right now I use my think tank airport takeoff roller, shapeshifter, retrospective 10 and a lowepro exchange messenger.

They're all good, except that the lowepro is too cheap quality for me. Yet its size is almost perfect.

Anyone know of something that's the same size as the lowepro but doesn't cost more than a hundred SGD (USD70)?

I only want to put in a 5D2 + nikon 35 f/2 AI-S + canon 85 f/1.8 and perhaps a small / narrow Nalgene water bottle. Oh, and of course I gotta put in my keys and some medicine.

Something like the domke F5XB perhaps?

I can also look for something similar to this guy:
http://www.tenba.com …movable-Photo-Insert.aspx (external link)
But with thinner foam or else it won't fit my Lowepro Exchange messenger

Cheers! :D

Strong dislike for the crumpler (sold my 7mdh to someone else, got the TTP R10).

Seems like the Classified 140AW is deeper than it is wider. I want it the other way!

If you need it just larger, there are a bunch of Domke bags to choose from. The F-5XC is what I take now for a bigger bag.

First-time poster here, but have been lurking for a while. I can't help with bag suggestions, but have some ideas for inserts.

The Camaroo padded insert might work in your Lowepro:
http://www.amazon.com …?ie=UTF8&m=A171ZJ7Z5OV5ZR (external link)

The insert's dimensions are listed as: Internal 7"H x 7.5"W x 4.1"D; Divider 5"H; Padding 3/8"T

The Camera Paddy by BBP measures 13" x 9" x 4.5" and one reviewer says it should fit into a bag that's slightly smaller:

Just thought I'd throw these ideas out. Good luck finding what you need.

Do you find the Retro 10 too big? There's a lot I like about it but I wish they had one about 50-75% its size.

^ definitely. Length wise it's okay, but height wise maybe not, and perhaps even width wise. I want a Retro 5 lol.

Maybe just a touch larger, but how about a Kata DC-445?

I've got one recently and it swallows a lot of gear for it size.

I really don't need a huge bag. I have 3 bags that have a lot of capacity. I don't want that! 2 primes are all I want yeah!

+1 on the Domke F-5XC ... like a F-5XB big brother! Much thinner than the Retro series. And the "waxwear" version really looks cool (F-5XZ).

So the F-5XB really won't fit my 5D2 + 2 small primes?

F-5XB would fit the camera and 2 primes (I put a 5D with a 24mm 2.8 and a Zeiss ZE 35mm in mine) but no water bottle.

Ah that makes sense. I can do away with the bottle, or replace the 85 when I'm shooting socially.

Was thinking that the width (thickness?) of the F-5XB was too small for the 5D's height (in the orientation with the lens pointed down) but it seems to fit?

I own the Billingham f1.4. Great messenger style bag, very high quality material, and its water proof.

I love that Billingham bags are stylish and doesn't scream camera bag.

The bag fits my Canon 7D + 17-55, and my 580ex II, with another 1/3 of space free for an addition lens (2 smaller primes) or misc accessors that will not fit in the front pouch.

Here's a good review on Billingham bags, although the video does not feature the new f/stop series.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't read that you were looking at something around $70. This bag ran me $260, but it was worth it. I spent probably about a total of $150 on other bags before I decided to suck it up and spend the money for a good quality bag.

S'okay mate. I know how good billinghams are because I have friends who own and shoot out of them. Great bags, great looks... just a little too expensive for me ;)
