Who doesn't love a Vet and the new model at a low angle just looks like a smiley face to me

these are really cool.

I like the low, wide angle shots, but in these you have to watch your reflections. There's all kinds of signs, power lines, and presumably you in the paint of the vette. The first one, watch for the poles growing out of the left side of it. Second image, you should have turned the wheels to the left to show the faces of the wheels more.

Thanks and your totally correct on all accounts These were just drive by snapshots at a dealership. My reflection is definetly in there!!

Yeah, that orange peal is horrendous!! I wonder if they buff it out in the final detail? I doubt it.

No way the factory paint is orange peel like that....I'm guessing she has been painted (and not very well obviously)...

Definitely orange peel. The Corvette's are known for this. They've always had issues.

I've been detailing Corvettes for over 20 years and never seen factory paint with that much orange peel. I must respectfully disagree about Vette paint having issues. (Although I do respect your opinion). I have found Corvette paint, especially since the introduction of the C5 in '97, to be some of the best of any car on the market. Actually, the Factory Paint Shop in Bowling Green is award winning.

This picture was the week I bought the car, no polish, no wax. You can see "orange peel" in the vinyl stripes, but very little in the paint.

OP... Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread! Nice C6 shots! Pretty hard to beat a Red Vette!!!

Interesting, must only have orange peel in Ohio.

I've seen orange peel like that out of the factory countless times!! Especially on the plastic/ rubber bumpers and stuff all different makes. A lot of times if it's not buffed out or dry's to fast ect... Who knows though, could be a cheap repair job from shipping damage for all I know
