This is my first attempt at a "wildlife" shot.. I shot this with my A95 in macro mode, on a tripod with the DC52 2.4x teleconverter.
Here's a cropped picture (30%) at full optical zoom (7.2x).. the image came out darker than intended.
And another attempt, this time using full digital zoom (effective 28.8x magnification.. not to happy about the image quality)

. These are very valiant efforts! I really love the lighting you've achieved in the 2nd one as that is one beautifully backlit butterfly. In the first one the sky is overblown but believe me, this can happen easily with ANY camera...Keep on posting, Croesus as you'll get plenty of constructive feedback here (such as CDS just gave)!!
Activating your flash might have helped this one a bit by brightening up the forground..
