As well as my Canon DSLR cameras I also have a S90 and a G9. Don't use either of them a whole lot, but the S90 gets more use than the G9. I resisted the temptation to upgrade to the S95 and G12 a few times, which is unusual for me.

Last night I was surfing on my iPad and read David Pogue's love letter to the S95. I checked out the price on Amazon, which has obviously come down a bit since launch, and still managed to resist the temptation to buy the S95.

Half an hour later as my vegetarian wife was cooking me a huge T Bone steak an email came from Amazon confirming the order for a S95. She's seen me looking it again and decided to buy it for me!

That was a sweet gesture :D

Just put the RF grip on mine and love the S95 even more now! Awesome!

Thinking of ordering a Sterlingtek 1600mAh battery now too! That should be a great improvement over the 1000mAh Canon ones I have.

I think you will enjoy your new s95 very much and it is a great alternative when you don't feel like carrying around your dslr.

Just ordered my S95 from Amazon! They have 1 more left with prime shipping. Anyway I am excited. :) In the end I decided that sitting around watching the site and waiting for it to drop back down to $369 is a waste of my time, it's worth the $30 just to order it and get it out of the way

Has anyone looked into the Olympus XZ-1? Looks very promising.

Maybe it's the UK Olympus franchise but I will never, ever touch Olympus with a barge pole - whatever cameras they produce.
