I miss my XS, I don't know why I'm really happy with my current setup. I'm going to get a few more lenses this year, like the 70-200 and probably a TS-E. I keep telling myself why not pick up a used XS for $300... But why would I do that, when would I ever use it?

Nostalgia can be a powerful thing sometimes :D

My first camera was an XS 2 years ago. It was surprisingly rugged for a plastic body and as much flack as it gets on these boards. I remember te ISO was never too wonderful at 1600, but I've considered picking one up here and there.

I miss my 400D (xti). It was light, easy to hold and operate and it took great photos.

I gave my old 350D to our daughter when our grandson was born 18 months ago.. This camera is well used but still produces great results..

I had a little play with it when I was back in Australia over Christmas and New Year.. The older xxxD models are great little cameras in anyone's language..

Sorry, but two years in terms of cameras and, electronics in general, is considered down right ancient.LOL
Not that I dont remember my ol Minolta MAXXUM 35mm, and even older my Pentax K1000(that is nostalgic, for me, only 27...)...but I do not miss them..digital is so much better. :p (not starting a film vs digital debate, just keeping it lively)

I also have a 5dmkII but I actually kept my XS (we call it the 1000D here) as well. Couldn't see the benefit of selling it for the 200€ it goes for. I'm very happy to have it because it's light and small and I stuff it in my saddle bags when I go on trail rides. It's great to have dslr quality pictures of those rides. It really makes a difference. And the XS packs quite a punch for the price.

But I do know I'll part from it (I'll probably give it to someone instead of selling it for next to nothing) in a couple of years when the entry-level bodies with video will have dropped in price. DSLR quality photos are great but HD video is even better for the area I'm lucky enough to live in.

Oh Heck! How about this 4x5 Graflex which was the first single lens reflex camera I ever used. Looking back, it's hard to believe I considered this a viable working camera but, I used one as late as 1964....

I still have my 450D (XSi). I was thinking of having it modded for infrared.
