SYS Cream of the Crop More info | Jan 07, 2011 21:22 | #4 I like it. How did you place your flash well hidden inside the umbrella? Or did you use your left arm to hold the flash and PP'ed it out afterwards?

I actually didn't have to PP out the flash because the light that the flash emitted was so bright that the light just ate my flash up. haha Ah... pretty much what I thought.

SYS Cream of the Crop More info | Jan 07, 2011 23:25 | #9 WatsonLu wrote in post #11596162 SYS I tried looking for the DIY, I didn't find it but I found your 6,560 flash pop ups research very helpful !I didn't put that particular DIY in my link, because I wasn't too happy with the result. Basically, it's a PVC tube that fits over the umbrella shaft with a plumbing hose then covering it for better grip. A quick shot here of my son holding the umbrella, just to illustrate that you can do this without losing your arm.

Jan 08, 2011 00:12 | #11 SYS- Very clever, but I don't have a remote trigger for my flash so I had to set it off with my hand anyways. I'm a poor student on a budget ): Haha 5D2|40D Gripped|17-40L|70-200 f/2.8L|50mm f/1.8
