More info | Jan 07, 2011 18:39 | #4 Looks somewhat like the old VC10 as used as both a transport and AA Refuler by the RAF, both though now out of service AFAIK. The VC10 was being replace by the Tri-Star I thinkit was while I was still in the RAF in the early 90's, thought that they were also repalced in the refuling role as well, having taken that on from the HP Victors.

Bloody noisy things though. Was a dispatcher at Brize until 1996, so had a few flights on them, strange sitting facing backwards, as the don't fly slightly nose up like the more modern aircraft. Aviation Law - If your wings are travelling faster than your fuselage, it better be a helicopter.
