Question for the 400mm f/5.6L community.

The screw for the tripod collar just came completely out. Is there a way to fix this? I have been playing around and can't figure it out. I wasn't aware that it was supposed to come completely out, so I'm worried that mine is broken.

did you find the circlip that is supposed to hold it in place ?

Collar, screw, clip can all be had as parts from Canon.

Almost any auto supply or hardware store carry a multitude of these clips in assorted sizes. One will fit your screw. Probably 5 cents from there or $5.00 from Canon.
