Well, I dont actually have white seamless... Or any white walls in my house. But I do have enough flash power to blow out the wall behind my wifes head for a quick portrait. I used Zack Arias' tutorial and these shots as inspiration http://www.zarias.com/seamless-corporate-work/ (external link). I only have one flash to light the background so I couldnt get a head and shoulders shot but what does everyone think? His black and whites here are a bit too cool for my taste so I tried to warm it up a bit. Does that look ok?

I personally dont like the color tone you added to this picture, maybe if you had brought it to a stage that there is just a touch of warmness, it would have been better. I think the picture is well executed, not so sure on the expression. But I have to say I prefer Zack Arias black and white color tone.

Thanks for the critique. The expression is the "Im cleaning the house and youre playing with your camera and now you want me to stop and look pretty?" I, of course, didnt ask for that one.

I was originally trying to match the tones of Zach's pictures but thought they looked too blue in tone.

I downloaded the second one and opened it in Elements with a solid black background and I think it looks good. The first one has a much less pleasing cast to it, at least to my eyes.

The eyes look too bright to me, nice catch lights though.

Cameras don't take good pictures, photographers take good pictures
