Update...............

Further to my last posts, three things:

1. The promised phone call from Canon rep did not come (am I surprised), but I am going past their UK head office today, so I will call in.

2. I have email and fax the company again (7Dayshop.com) again, no answer.

3. I did come across another on line company, whilst on Ebay, on the same island (Guernsey), I placed an order with them, the goods arrived within a week, no problem.

Update2...............

Spoke to a senior manager at Canon UK head office today (he even gave me his personal mobile!!).
I had to send him an email with all the details, anyhow he got 7Dayshop to call me (number withheld), full of excusses how busy they had been etc, they tell me that my order was sent 4 days ago (we will see), so I gave them one more week for the goods to arrive, which i feel is more than fair, after that, they say if I email them again if the goods are not here I would get a full refund.

The person at 7Dayshop said they had read through my case and could understand why I was upset!!!!!!!!!!!!, I asked the person for their name, they would only give me their 1st name, also they would not give direct email address for contact, only contact method was via website form.

They tell me that soon they will have a new website that will solve their problems!!

Anyhow, at this point full marks to Canon for getting them to answer me, now we will just wait and see.

To be continued...............

If you ever deal with them again, you're a lot more charitable than I am! They need a lot more changes than just a new web site.

I'm sorry for your luck but the price better be absolutely fantastic to put up with this kind of treatment. Why mess around, cancel the order with your CC and them, if possible, and move on. I doubt anyone reading this would buy from them now.

Call your CC company. In the US, if you call them and maybe provide them with all the info you've given us, they'll force the business to give you a refund. If the business refuses, they'll just do a chargeback, which is very bad for the business.

Usually, it never gets that far; as soon as the CC company contacts the business they agree to an immediate refund. Or if you just tell the business you're going to ask your CC company to do a chargeback, the business immediately refunds your money. (Which, incidentally, is exactly what happened with Amazon: That "non-cancellable" order got canceled instantly.)

They'll probably be real. A lot of the Guernsey stores send cartridges out of their cardboard box to keep postage down.

7dayshop are reputable and your experience is definitely not the norm

Funnily enough, I ordered a full set of inks last week for my Epson SP R300. I usually use Cartridgepeople but they had none in stock so I went to Amazon and bought a full set of inks from one of their sellers who just happens to be 7dayshop. I have used 7dayshop many times in the past without any problems so I had no qualms with using them again for this purchase.

The package I was expecting to arrive should have looked like this:

HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Yesterday 2 small jiffy bags arrived with 2 ink cartridges in each one and today a third bag arrived with the last 2 in it.

Fortunately for me yesterday's delivery contained the 2 ink cartridges I needed to complete a job but suffice to say I was less than impressed with how they got sent out, so much so I sent the following message to them via the Amazon website:

Me wrote:
I ordered an Epson Original T0487 Six Pack, some of which turned up today...the ink is not packaged as shown in the picture and I have bought this item before from other vendors and it always comes packaged in its original packaging that looks like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com …BRIEsiL._SL500_AA300_.jpg (external link)
4 out of 6 of the ink cartridges arrived today in 2 separate packages with 2 cartridges in each package. The cartridges are individually wrapped still in their vacuum packed wrappers though.

My questions are these: why have the cartridges been taken from their original packaging and separated into pairs? Where is the 3rd pair of cartridges? Are these still genuine Epson ink cartridges?

This has made me question the validity of the original OEM cartridges you have supplied and makes me wonder whether they are of the same quality I would expect them to be had they been packaged as they should have been.

I have shopped with 7dayshop many times in the past but always from the 7dayshop website. This episode has made me consider my future purchases and whether or not I will have to look to alternative retailers.

I look forward to hearing your prompt reply on this matter.

Michael Green.

Suffice to say I have yet to receive a reply!
