A couple weeks ago I started back up into the photography hobby, pushed mainly by the birth of my daughter 2 months ago.
I've made a couple threads here seeking advice on gear and ultimately purchased a Canon t2i body to upgrade our xt body.

Upon the advice of others here, I purchased the Canon 28-135 and 50mm prime lenses. I received the lenses earlier today but still no t2i body yet. Oh well... to the xt they go!
I had a blast shooting with the 28-135... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the AF on that sucker. I didn't realize just how smooth it was... the xt kit lens pails in comparison.

I need a UV filter for it, though. Took some great shots of the dogs, but most are marred by the solar spots.

and this one of Layla was shot with the prime:

I want to thank everyone here for their suggestions an input. I look forward to getting the t2i body in soon and learning more.

Great... you are gonna have a lot of fun!

As to the sun, have you looked at lens hood yet? LOL - right now, I'd love to be fighting sun shine... durn norther Indiana winters.

Anyhow, nice shots :)
