Since Thursday evening the activity have been excellent. With outburst so bright that even 0.8s at ISO3200 is getting burnt out!
These shots were taken last night. Here I used the Samyang 14mm on the images with the trees. And the 16-35 with the boat house

Shows how quickly it went. This is 20s after the above image was taken:

Here is another from last night. Taken with the Samyang 14mm, iso3200, 1.6s, f/2.8
Reduced the noise and hopefully this is an better version?

Loving the first 4 you posted, this last one looks too noisy.

I agree so I reduced the size to avoid all that noise

Reducing the image size only makes the noise harder for people with bad eyes to notice. :)

Looks as though the majority of the noise is on the Green channel with a little on the other two.
Are you using Photoshop? If so you can use a little surface blur on the individual color channels to reduce the noise while maintaining image detail.

Exactly my thought :) I am on a 13" screen so everything looks great for me :)
I use photoshop. The exposure have been increased since the image was dark. And I also sharpened. I will try to use the other channels and see if it improves

Love them too. I would so love to live far enough north to be able to witness sights like this. Knowing my luck, if I booked a trip for a week hoping to glimpse them, I'd pick a week when there was no activity!

I think that if you go for a week you might have a chance :)
But you never know with the unstable weather here. Tomorrow we will get more snow so I don't know when we can spot the aurora again. It's better in February and March.

Actually most of the noise was on the blue channel. So I applied a little surface blur on the blue channel and it looks way better. Thank you for the great tip
