A short shoot today in an old power station in Fremantle, Perth..

Single shoot through umbrella camera left.. post processing in Photoshop.. Comments and critique appreciated.. Trying to improve as much as possible.

Nice lighting! I think the color is a little dull. Have you tried popping it just a little? I think that may add just a little something to your shot.

Maybe stick a bit of vibrance in? How would you make yours pop?

Thanks, it pops a lot more than the SOOC shot that's for sure.. Any tips on how I can make it pop more? I use photoshop so any info is appreciated :)

i dont understand why you would use a bunch of pillars and trash as your background instead of that really bright graffiti to the right of the frame. that would have made the image pop for sure.

ha! you know what, I have no idea why I didn't do that.. What a tool! I think the heat must have frazzled my brain.. lol.. Don't worry, I will be revisiting the site.

im not really sure if theres much else you can do that wouldnt drastically change the image. do you have any other photos from this set?

I do, just not edited them just yet.. Will most likely do some more tonight when I get home. I'll post them as soon as I'm done :)

Ok, finally got round to editing.. This time I've brought the colours out a lot.. Would appreciate C&C on whether I've over done it lol

Don't mind at all, however all the colours seem out to me now?

I left the background darker on purpose to bring the subject forward.

I really love the background! It's grungy and edgy and interesting without detracting the focus from the subject. I love the lighting you used, too.

Anyway, since you have "img editing okay" on, I decided to try my hand at "making it pop" a little more. This is just how I personally would edit it.
